This portfolio focuses on the rehabilitation and modernization of Zanzibar’s energy infrastructure, covering grid upgrades, renewable energy, transmission systems, and digital transformation. It aims to enhance reliability, reduce losses, and support growing energy demand across Unguja and Pemba.
The project aims to develop infrastructure for the supply and distribution of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) across Zanzibar for households, commercial users, and transport. It addresses the current reliance on traditional fuels by introducing a cleaner, reliable, and cost-effective energy solution aligned with national energy transition goals.
The project seeks to establish a commercial boat building and maintenance facility in Zanzibar to support fisheries, tourism, and marine transport. It will reduce reliance on imported vessels while enabling the transition to modern, efficient, and environmentally sustainable marine fleets.
The project aims to establish a large-scale marine fish cage farming system across Unguja and Pemba, deploying 320 offshore cages supported by modern aquaculture technology. It leverages Zanzibar’s favorable ocean conditions to develop a sustainable, high-yield mariculture industry aligned with national blue economy priorities.
The project aims to establish a modern deep-sea fishing industry in Zanzibar by leveraging its strategic location within the Western Indian Ocean tuna corridor. It will develop offshore fishing capacity and supporting infrastructure to unlock high-value marine resources currently underutilised by domestic operators.
